I haven't written much about the updated version of what's going on in my novel lately, so I thought I would share some of this with you.
There have been some real great moments, and some really not so great moments in writing this book. Lately, I haven't been writing at all in my novel. I was really stuck and couldn't edit a lot out of the novel simply because I was too attached to the writing, rather than the message of the book. As soon as I realized that I was committed to the message of the novel, editing became almost exponentially easier.
Also, I was finding that since I started writing this book over 2 years ago, that my writing style and ability has changed dramatically. Practicing writing has really developed my writing style and storyline. In reading this, I simply cannot "fix" all the different styles and moods I was in to correct this, so I am faced with having to write it all over again from the start.
The good news about this, is that I feel that I can accomplish this in 3 months with the storyline and template that I have already written in place.
Instead of being overwhelmed by the amount of writing I am committed to doing again, I am overjoyed that the project has been able to be reborn and will be consistent in every part of the story and the experiences I have learned from will only add to the novel instead of detracting from it.
I am excited about this, and I can't wait to share it with you all.
I will keep you posted!!
Chuck
