Building a Belief System of People Who Don't Want to Pay Retail

I have a great idea!!

I want to create a team of people whom I know, and more importantly, I LIKE, and support them in business.

We all have networks of people that do good by us either as friends, or just good business people. I think that I would like to reward them for their support and friendship with me over the years, and so I am creating a network of my friends to accumulate a list of preferential people we would like to do business with.

This list includes regular everyday items that you spend money or time on. These things include: Florists, Dry Cleaning, Car Dealerships, Cell Phone packages, tickets for events, job hunting networking, support groups, and just about anything else that you think that you need. The list is literally limitless...

The idea is to expand my network with those around me ,who want to have the same belief system. We want to create a loyal, buyer-friendly market and get the best deal on anything you want to buy through our existing contacts.

Everyone knows someone, who knows someone. If you know someone that you would like to support in business because they are good people, and they do good work, please contact me and let's see if we can add you to our list.

Please DO NOT reply on this post on my Blogsite. I do not want this to be an advertising campaign for everyone's product or service. Please contact me privately on facebook, or email me. If you can't get a hold of me, or don't know my info, this isn't for you. -And if you aren't my friend on facebook, you've just proved my point.

This is a belief system of supporting those in business who deserve it, and in return, everyone wins.

So the question is, Do you want in?

What's Your Excuse?

I have told myself many lies over the course of my life. I have given myself reasons to not do something I wanted to because I created a reason NOT to.

Whenever I was really unhappy, I told myself the reason WHY I was unhappy. -And of course, it became a truth. Why? Because everyone else lies to us, but we wouldn't lie to ourselves, right?

Wrong.

We lie to ourselves in every situation in everyday life, and one of the biggest ways that we do it, is through making excuses.

Let me give you an example:

Let's use money as an example. I usually hate using money, because it's just such a lame example, but it seems that it's the most used excuse people use, so we can all relate to it...

Lately, I have realized that living my life my way hasn't worked very well. I am an healthy male, with no addictions and no vices, and I wasn't making horrible decisions, but the ones I were making didn't seem to work out. I used to make a lot of money, and now I don't make anywhere near what I used to. I always said that whether I had a lot of money, or no money, you would never be able to tell. -Because money meant I had choices, not a better life.

But we all spend money in different wasteful ways, and then we say, "I can't afford it" to something valuable. We all complain that we never have enough money, but then we never DO anything about it. When someone presents something to you that might help, the thing people say right away is:

1) I have no money

2) I have no time

These 2 excuses actually hold you back from improving your life. What if you actually HAD enough of both time and money (don't worry, you don't...lol) what would really improve your life?

The answer is not much.

Sure, you would travel more, and you would live in a nicer house, and drive a nicer car, but it would soon dawn on you that you really couldn't share it with your friends at the moment. If you have something great, and you can't share it with the people you have loved your entire life, what good is it?

And even if you had that freedom, the people around you simply wouldn't. And they would always give you the same excuse that you used to use. I don't have enough time, or money.

These excuses are SO lame!

Everyone has exactly the same 24 hours in a day as the next person. Wouldn't you think that if you had these same resources, that you could make some changes to better your situation?

But the problem is, that we are comfortable living like this. Only when you are uncomfortable, do you make changes. So if you are still telling yourself that you have no time and no money, you are lying to yourself. You have always found a way to buy the things in life that matter the most to you. In fact, most of us can tell you things that we have as vices that we spend money on. -Because it makes us happy, or we think that we are entitled to it. Vacations are the biggest examples of this. Everyone will always tell you that they are entitled to these to make themselves feel better for 1 week away for all the rest of the year they suffer.

The simple truth is, is you believe that something will make your life better, you will FIND a way to do it. Whether it be to find the time, or find the money, you FIND a way. -Because you want it.

So happiness is out there. Can you find a way to make it work for you?

Or are you going to stick to the same excuses, that have gotten you where you are at this very moment reading this...

Is Osama Bin Laden Real?

I remember the morning of the Bombings on the World Trade Centre on Sept. 11, 2001.

I was driving en route to LA, and had stopped in a little Casino town called Mesquite, Nevada to play some cards. A couple hours after the Towers had fallen, every single American at the table was talking about someone named Osama Bin Laden.

I had never heard this name before.

"Bin What"? I asked

"Osama Bin Laden" they said.

Wow, that's pretty good pronunciation for a table of card players who had never left the state of Nevada, and couldn't spell Cat if you spotted them the C and the T.

The funny thing is, I was just talking about Osama Bin Laden the other day.

"They'll never catch him" I said.

The longer this chase for Osama Bin Laden goes on, the longer the war in Afghanistan can continue. -A war cannot exist if your enemy is dead, right? And Bin Laden seems to be the perfect target.

But who has actually SEEN Bin Laden?

Oh, I mean, outside of what CNN shows you on TV, or what the US government feeds you, who has actually seen that this guy isn't a Keyser Soze? (The Usual Suspects, Google him) What proof does anyone really have that this guy committed all of these crimes? Will they ever show his dead body, and if they do, who's body is it going to be?

Now, if they caught this guy ALIVE, that would be something fantastic. But we all knew that couldn't happen. Then he would be tried in international court, and he would reveal a WHOLE whack load of shit that the US Government probably doesn't want you to hear. -If, that is, because he was dead when they got him.

-Of course.

Could it be that Osama Bin Laden is a phantom created by those who in power who want to keep greasing the US War machine? They could give him an image, a name, a history, and villain-ize his ass all the way from here to the other side of the world. They could tell you that he is to blame for your lot in life, and awaken an nation to support a war that could've been another Vietnam. Lack of support, low morale, and a losing cause.

-Or they could unite everyone this time around in a cause that turned out to be nothing more than controlling the economies and countries with the largest Oil reserves...

Oh, you could spin this around for days, just like a dog chasing its tail, but I think you might draw your own conclusion?

The one thing I would ask is, how much research have you done on Osama Bin Laden, and who have you been getting all of your information from?
Just Sayin'...

My Transformation, May 1, 2011

I've had a pretty good run at trying things my way.

And I've come to the realization, that "My Way" doesn't work unless you are Frank Sinatra.

Over the past fleeting 5 or 6 years of my life, I have realized that I was a coward. Big admission, I know, but it's true.

I was afraid of so many things in my life, and afraid that someone would step into my life whom I deemed greater, or more important than me, and pierce my armour plate facade. This was my biggest fear, and it prevented me from trying anything that put success in my way. -In any form.

Well, that ends now...

Today is May 1, and I plan to "out" myself in this blog or mission statement to change all of this. I am giving myself the accountability to announce it to all of you, so that it will get done. I have learned that in the past, I have never valued what I said I was going to do. Well, not this time.

I have a couple goals at the end of this month that I want to hit. I will share a couple with you.

1) I want my body back. I used to have a great body, and I want it back. I figure that I'm going to be living in this body for the rest of my life, so I may as well take care of it. Too many of us take better care of our cars, houses, and other things, than we do with our bodies. This seems crazy, because without our bodies, things like houses, cars and other things wouldn't really matter, would it?
Now, the good news is, that I am still in good shape, health wise. But why let it get to a point where I'm doing this because I am in BAD shape?
So I weigh 181 lbs. today. -this is a little heavy for me, and I could stand to lose a good 10 lbs. But I am going to lose 20 lbs this month, and start to transform my body back again.
Marc "Funk" Roberts is going to be my personal inspiration with his Spartacus training, all I have to do is the work. -That's the east part. It's like jumping from an airplane. All you have to do, is take the first step, and gravity will take care of the rest.

2) I am going to finish the first draft of my novel in the next 9 days. I have a deadline date of May 9th that I had set for myself back in the spring, and I am on track with this. There will be re-writes after I finish my first draft, but this will be my first big accomplishment of saying I was going to do something, and doing it.
It's been a LONG journey doing this, but I am finally seeing this turn from a collection of writings, to a story that is mine. -All right in front of my own eyes.

3) I have realized that I have a powerful network of wonderful people in my life that I don't edify enough. This month, I am going to reach out to 50 people that are friends, family and work contacts, and tell them how much I value them.
This may not seem like much, but I really believe that the people in my life are wonderful beings. I think that if someone would've reached out to me like this when I was feeling miserable, it would've made a big difference.

In short, I am not going to let "Life is crazy" stop me from reaching out to people in my life that make a difference. Finding good people in life is so difficult, that it should not stop me from sharing my affection to them. I want to help you, as much as I want to help you me. -In business, in private, in friendship, and in life. Because really, that's what friendship really is, isn't it?

I have found that I am tired of living my life as one big excuse. I had a million excuses for everything. And worse, I even believed them to be true when they weren't. I created a falsehood of limitations in a negative mindset that had no way of allowing me to succeed because I kept giving myself and others around me reasons and stories why they couldn't get done. Sound familiar? Do you do the same thing? -Of course you do!!

So, I'm going to be the brave one, and go first. I'll see you in 30 days, and tell you how great my life is going to be from here on in. If you want in on owning your life back, contact me this month instead of me contacting you. -I would love some company for this ride.

These are small and big tasks, but they are going to get done. So watch me do it...

-It's gonna be one hell of a ride!!
